Best hunting pants I own

Bought the bibs a couple months back and decided to pull the trigger on the pants too, and couldn’t be more pleased. I’m around 6ft with a 29-30 inch waste so the medium is slightly baggy and I do mean very slightly but with the build in belt they fit like a glove, and I can only imagine if layered under will be impenetrable by the elements and still fit perfectly

These are pretty great pants. They are pretty resilient when it comes to pushing through thick brush and jaggers. The wind stop is a huge selling point when mid season wind chills your bones. A tiny bit more insulation in them would make them much closer to a 5 star

Nice pants. Wish they were waterproof. I’m 5 11 195 with a 36 in waist. Large fit perfect. Would buy again.

Stratus Pant

Love them. They are quiet, comfortable, warm enough for 30s with an insulated thermal. My only complaint is that I am an XLT in their Equinox line, so that that’s what I ordered for these pants, and they are legitimately 4 inches too big. I’m going to have to have them altered as they cannot stay on and sending them down with 4 inches of extra fabric underneath the little fabric gray belt just really doesn’t work out that well. I have no idea why they are so much larger than the Equinox line. I would have returned them and gotten larges, but I had them drop shipped to the out-of-state location I was hunting, and 100% did not have proper gear without using them so I had to use them; I had no choice, and now I know that I probably cannot return them for the smaller size, so I’m gonna be left with having to pay to have them severely altered… So, like I said, everything other than that was exactly what you would expect from the brand, perfection.

Light, soft, windproof

Very light and soft on the outside with a nice soft liner inside as well. I ripped the outside first time using them however that got stuck on part of my climber. Windproof very well as I cruise around on an atv in Wisconsin in November. I wish they were warmer however.

Great Pant for Mid-Season Use

I am a public land hunter that traverses a variety of terrain in a greater variety of weather. On warmer hunts, using the stratus pant and skipping a lightweight base layer gave me the protection I needed for the way without becoming overheated. On days approaching the high 30’s, using the stratus pants with a lightweight base layer kept me warm. These pants also offer great protection from treacherous terrain. While dragging a buck down a cliff side filled with rocks and brambles, these pants kept me protected, all while maintaining their robustness. Great pants that you should own if the conditions you’re hunting in are right.

Great quality…

Comfortable, quiet and warm… everything I was looking for. My only complaint is the size of the belt loops. They are made thin which is probably more comfortable for movement but not enough to support a sidearm.

Excellent Pant, most versatile line in the whitetail lineup

The Stratus System is in my opinion the most versatile line in the Whitetail Lineup. It can be worn from early fall through late season. I already had the Bibs and Jacket so picking up the pant and vest to complete the system just made sense. Great Layout and amazing comfort. Overall I highly recommend not just the Pant but the entire Stratus System.

Perfect fit with a pair of Sitka suspenders. The pants are wind proof and completely silent. I love these pants. Some hip zips from dropping some heat with be my only suggestion. You will not be disappointed.

The Most Versatile Whitetail Hunting Pant

This is the best mid season whitetail hunting pant I have ever used. Not even close. I have used these in Southern Wisconsin through November, Central Ohio through December with constant snow, and through the entire season in the Appalachia region of Virginia. These tolerate pushing through the briars for a spot and stalk or making your way to the tree to get set up in a stand. I use these pants into the low 30s with a midnight base layer, and into the low 50s with no base layer. The pockets are deep, well laid out, and muffle the sound from things like keys. If I had one critique it would be the snap buttons could have a bit better retention. I've seriously considered buying another pair of these pants because I'd hate for Sitka to discontinue them and I not have a replacement. I've owned my current pant for 6 years.

Love the quietness and pockets . The belt is awesome. But REALLY REALLY needs full leg zippers to vent walking in and get over boots

Sitka Stratus Pants

Have not worn these pants yet, but looking forward to trying them in the fall hunting season. I expect they will be as good as the Stratus jacket I have been using for years. I will do a follow up review after the season.

These are a great pair

These are a great pair of pants to match the jacket that said I bought use it for midseason bow hunting and into late season have used base layers used down into the mid 20s and been very comfortable. These pants and jacket are my number one combo gear I take everywhere I hunt.

High Quality Pants!

I have several Pair of these and they are my go to midwest whitetails. Great comfort and quality!

6’3, 230lbs, out of shape athletic build. XL or XXL can be tricky ordering online. Ordered an XL and they fit perfect. Could wear solo, or with base layer in comfort. Haven’t worn them in the field but very happy the size fits as it does. Own lots of Sitka gear, quality appears to be there on this pant as well.

Great pants for colder weather!! I usually stay pretty warm so didnt feel like i need the incinerator set, these keep me plenty warm, even in negative degree weather!! Make sure to get a size bigger if ur wanting to wear a pair of jeans or sweats underneath them!!

Windstopper is awesome

Comfy and warm. Windstopper is awesome. Wore them mostly in the colder half of the season, down to zero degrees and subzero with windchills. Mostly with just some 350 weight merinos underneath. On a couple days I added some lightweight synthetics under those as well. Very cold and windy season this year and I was very happy with the stratus pants and jacket. Also hiked a couple miles at a time in them and did not overheat too bad or get overly sweaty. They aren’t really meant for those late season temps but if you layer up a little you can get by without buying another system. The fit is not the tight “athletic” cut so it allows for that pretty well. I’m 5’8” and 220 and have the xl pants and 2x jacket. Xl jacket fits great if I don’t have much for layers underneath.
