My old Scent Blocker jacket and pants were worn out, so I was looking for something new. I hunt in NE PA and deer season this year was very cold. . . 18 degrees with 20 MPH winds made the wind chill in the single digits. The combination of these items with a couple of base layers did the trick. I was warm and did not feel the wind. The Blizzard GTX Hat is tremendous as well. I wish this hat came in Orange. I was debating between Sitka and Kuiu and went with Sitka. I made a good call. I did have to order up on both the pants and Fanatic Jacket. I like to put layers under these, if needed, and there was no room to layer so a size up was perfect. At first, I thought the zipper on the jacket was a gimmick. Upon further review, the built-in hand muff is a tremendous advantage.

Bought a second pair
Bought my first pair of the Stratus Pant last spring and used them during archery. Loved the pant. They fit well with a base layer under them. However during colder day below freezing I couldn't fit a midi pant under the Stratus so I bought the next size up. These are much better to use when moving over the Incinerator bibs. Now I have great options.

Late season deer hunting in vermont
I recently purchased the stratus pants and coat set for late season hunting. I immediately noticed the light weight of both of these pieces. They fit extremely well. I'm 5-8 155lbs. I m in the medium pants. Which fit well with base layers. I got the large in the coat. After trying on my sons medium stratus coat , it was too snug with other under garments and baselayer. Large was perfect for me. Extremely soft and comfortable. The fleece keeps you warm . Very quite moving through the woods. My only dislike is the pants have no cinch straps to block the snow from working up and under the pant bottoms while hunting in deep snow. I had to clear it out several times. This is the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. Other than that , I'm extremely satisfied. PS Sitka. Maybe you can address this issue in the future. Jim S.

Comfortable!
I'm 32" waist with 30" in seam and the medium fits well. The 32" is snug at the waist, the length could likely accomodate a 32" leg. The provided belt works well, wish it were a tad wider. The material is dead quiet and doesn't pick up too many burs. The front pockets work well. The vertical pocket is particularly nice. I wish they had rear zippered pockets. I enjoy wearing these in high 30-mid 40's weather, windproof and lightweight. Love the Sitka quality.

Block the wind, but really could use side zips
They block the wind, but it's very inconvenient that they don't have full side zips to remove and put them on without taking off your boots, or to be able to dump heat. I wouldn't recommend these unless you just love pants. Bibs are the way to go.

Excellent medium/cold pants
I just got back from deer hunting with my son, we sat for 5 hours each afternoon in 22 degrees with wind blowing steady 15. I had on these Stratus pants, i layered core light weight bottoms and heavy weight bottoms for base layers. I wore my Fanatic coat with with fanatic hoodie underneath and a core mid weight zip for my base layer. Simple wool socks in my 1200 gram optifade lacrosse boots. I was genuinely impressed at how warm this gear is. Well worth the investment to have such versatile gear ready for any and all conditions.

I can wear 2 layers of sitka or 8 layers of walmart brand. 32 degrees alabama morning I have heavy base and status pants. Same on top. I could possibly hold out for a few hours with that set up in the mid to lower 20s.

My only issue is that the Large is to big for me even with layers on but the Medium is to small for layering. The large could be made a little smaller in my opinion. Other than that the length is perfect, extra comfortable and held up pretty good for just a pair of pants with no liner in cold conditions with a couple layers under them.

Quiet and Warm pants!
I love these pants, just enough room to run some base layers underneath if needed. The Medium Regular works well for me at 6’ 180 lbs. I would go for the medium tall normally but these work well as is with wearing mid top boots I use to stay warm.
