By far my favorite pant. Living in Florida, I've used these pants in 80+ degree heat, down to temps in the 40s. Never felt hot when it's warm, and never felt cold when the temperatures dipped even without a base layer. I prefer to spot and stalk while hunting, and love how quiet the material is. I would highly recommend these pants!

I've used these pants now for the May Turkey season in NY where the temperatures reached the upper 70's, and a Colorado Elk hunt, where they were as low as 31. These Pants performed flawlessly in both environments and kept me comfortable enough as a stand-alone piece of gear without a base layer underneath. The Pants wicked away the sweat of the late morning humidity during Turkey season and provided the warmth needed with the interior micro-grid fleece during the early morning Colorado frost. The knee pads are positioned perfectly, so they don't impede ones ability to move when crawling, and are just enough padding to provide the protection needed. They are extremely durable and have not shown any signs of wear. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the Apex system, and look forward to years of comfort and durability that these Pants will provide.

I just spent 2.5 days hunting turkey in Colorado in these pants. They were very comfortable throughout the day. Looking forward to wearing them for Elk this fall.

I have to admit that I almost returned these pants after I initially ordered them. I already had a pair of Ascent and Timberline pants and these seemed to be in the middle. I bought into the hype and then wasn't sure how much I would use them. I had an archery elk hunt planned for late September so I ultimately decided to keep them and make a decision based on weather conditions. The forecast called for typical September conditions with a temperature range of 30's to 70's. I put these on the first afternoon we left the truck and literally wore them for 7 straight days on a back county hunt. Quality gear on this type of hunt is something that you don't have to think or worry about. These pants performed flawlessly! It will be very hard to top the Apex series and I foresee them being to my go-to early to mid season hunting pant for many years. I never noticed that I was cold in the morning or hot during afternoon hikes. The DWR material shed water very well during a light shower and walking through wet understory vegetation. They withstood heavy abuse climbing up, over and through blow downs and rocky terrain. The articulated fit and tapered legs allowed excellent range of movement while staying snug around my boots. These pants functioned equally well transitioning into early season bow hunting for whitetails and I'm looking forward to chasing turkeys in them this spring.

Very comfortable pants and with a base layer they are warm enough for cold days without a lot of wind. Should be a great early and Mid season pant and they'll be my main pants for turkey season. Wore them two days misting rain and never did get wet, they have great ability to shed water and still be very quiet. Thus far very pleased with the quality.

These pants are awesome! They are very comfortable and the most quiet pair of pants that I have owned. Nice and cool in the heat and was freeballin' in them down in the 30's and stayed pretty darn warm. The front pockets are really wide and the cargo pockets have a smaller internal pocket that keeps things nice and quiet in there. I really like the how the buttons for the cargo pockets are indented, which makes snapping them breeze with heavy gloves on. The knee pads are a total asset and don't shift around on you like other internally padded pants. Only point of improvement would be to add a vertical knee pad adjustment like you see in Crye Precision pants. It would make the pad fit better for us hobbit folk. These pants are legit, and I want to marry them.

Put 15 days on these for September bowhunting in temps from freeze to 75. Solid pant, fit my 5’9, 180lb frame well. Pants stay down over boots and ankle like they should. Rear hardly shows any wear even with 40+ hours seated to glass. Knee pads needed adjusted back into pocket once but they fit like they should and are there when you kneel but hardly notice them when hiking. Washed 4x and no loss of pattern color (Optifade subalpine). Mesh inside of cargo pockets to separate items works but I hardly need the dividers. The Cargo pocket utilizes a snap but it’s quiet enough. Pant is quiet overall. I did not get to try them in rain or even heavy dew as it was a very dry September

These are my new favorite pants! Comfortable to wear in the cool, windy mornings, but also in the afternoon where it gets into the mid to high 70's. They never snagged while going through brush and protected my legs from getting scratched up. They're also much quieter than other pants I have. I agree with another reviewer and also wish that they had a zippered pocket.

Believe the hype! These truly are the best hunting pants on the market. The fit and feel makes them comfortable and functional no matter what terrain you're in or game you're after. Already had them out west on some spot and stalks, as well as tree stand sits in the midwest. These pants really do make the jump from "clothing" to "gear". These are the only pants I'll take in to the woods from now on.

These pants are just amazing. I wore them for 8 out of 10 days on a recent back country Elk Hunt and they were the best pants ever. They were tough, warm but not hot, and had plenty of storage. I literally could not be happier with a pair of pants! They are awesome!

Not only are these pants quiet and comfortable, but they’re extremely durable. I’ve put these pants through two weeks of a North Idaho elk hunt and these pants have held up to everything, including taking a spill resulting in a nasty scrape and bruise on my leg, but the pants still didn’t rip! I’d recommend these pants to anyone.

Everything about this pant was built around QUIET. Internally divided pockets to keep mouth calls and rangefinders from clanging. Tapered legs to minimize the "swoosh" of pant legs hitting brush and each other. The knee pads were a lifesaver this spring when it came down to crunch time with old Tom turkey. Stretchy, durable, comfortable and stealthy. An absolute must for any spot and stalk hunter!

A Tale of Two Roars

Rustic wooden gates groaned open as our Toyota HiLux rumbled through. We navigated the rutted, winding dirt road; every pothole and washboard negotiated revealing another layer of the towering Andes Mountains. A gin-clear river meandered through the valley floor. Willows on the cusp of fall color shimmered in the cool afternoon breeze. This was the start of the annual breeding season for red deer in northern Patagonia—also known as the roar.
